that's normal for any of them without special filtration I think so. I've got to get it outside to clear out the dust it's packed in over a few years though.

This is a number given by US Bank for toll free calls. Said that there was no problem with it but wanted to talk about it. Did not say who was calling but said it was about my credit card. The do not call idea has failed miserably. I use silent ring on my phone and then just clear these stupid messages out at my leisure sometime later in the day. My advice to anyone receiving similar calls is to just hang up and then attempt to block the number by whatever means. This is the latest of a multitude of 'last notice' calls in the past 6 months. to press 1 or to press 3 to stop further calls. Said that it was my 'last notice' to lower my credit card / loan rate. They are using the US bank number and trying to get credit card/social security info. I called the number back and got a representative from US Bank. They are obviously faking the caller ID information and don't expect you to call them back. Bankcorp's lost and stolen card department. The phone number is a real phone number for U.S. Press 1 to speak to a representative to lower your interest rate to 6.9%." They never give the name of any credit card or bank, obviously they are expecting you to supply that, along with your credit card numbers. A female voice says "There are no problems with your account. A message was left on my answering machine. This is a scammer trying to get credit card numbers. Left message on my machine saying "important information about my crad card, no problems just a chance to lower my rate ha ha ha! If this is a legitimate call perhaps the name of the company would have been left.Ĭaller ID said "UNAVAILABLE". I'm sure this is the first time they called because I would have blocked them if they called before. Left voice mail, said they would lower my interest rates and to act soon because my "eligibility expires soon". What good is the DNC if it doesn't establish 'REAL' laws for these scammers. That's when the automated voice said "This is Julie from US bank trying to active your card, please put in your card #" I did not thinking & then was sent to a representive named Christina, who "couldn't find" my acct so she asked for my name (and this is when I started getting reluctant). The next week I still kept getting the call so I finally picked it up. I ignored it the first week, & I even called the # back & got "You've reached card Member services please enter in your card #" but it didn't tell me who the call was from it just asked for my card #. This number called me a day after I activated my new credit card. I will go to my branch to find out the real story. I went through the same thing 2 days later. Then I was told wait time were longer than usual & try again later. When I called, the prompt was to enter the credit card number, which I did. I received a $0 balance "invoice" in the mail from US bank with a credit card number I didn't recognize. Telemarketer - Reported to PTP - Card member servicesġ4 comments about 80 at 10 call reported from 80. A scam crew trying to get your card number and your social security number.
